About Me

Hi, I'm Debra Rae-Smith, a 40 year old female living on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, with my hubby and two children of the feline variety.

I started my working life as an Environment Officer in Local Government. After 5 years, I had decided it wasn't for me! Soon after, I landed my dream job - Web Producer for HarperCollins Publishers. I was responsible for maintaining the publisher’s sci-fi genre site, Voyager Online, and developing new sites for their authors. Unfortunately though, it didn’t last – cost-cutting resulted in our department being closed, and my colleagues and I being retrenched.

Unemployed at a time when jobs in the web industry weren’t exactly growing on trees – what was a girl to do? Start her own business, of course! Soulscape Web Design was born in 2002, and is still going strong 10 years later!
