I was asked to create a website for the husband of one of my long-time clients, Gail Bell. Andrew Bell is a professional photographer and needed a website to display his wonderful photos to the world. It was decided that a very simple design, consisting of black, grey and white, would best allow the beauty of his work to shine through. Zenphoto was used as the gallery software, and allows Andrew to easily administer all the content on his website.

Color the World

I was hired to create custom skin for Color the World’s Cubecart 4 store. The owner of the quilting and craft store, Heike, wanted a very clean, simple design to showcase her products. Using the colours in her logo, and with a few vibrant images, I created a design that was both simple and “happy”, reflecting the joy that handicrafts bring into people’s lives.

Cigar Store

A “rich lounge feel” was the requested look for this store selling quality cigars. Lots of luxurious textures, combined with rich reds, browns and golds, and a smokin’ header image helped achieve the desired decadent design!

I was approached to create an ecommerce site by the director of a wedding stationery business. The project had some special requirements in personalising the stationery products to customers needs. Kenz Kart was customised to allow customers to choose from a selection of fonts, colours, sample wording.

The brief for this online children’s party supply store was bright strong colours and a fun feel. The business’s existing stationery design provided the inspiration for the header and colour scheme. I also created the rotating banners on the homepage, which help promote particular party themes and store specials.

The Bush Butcher Shop was after a simple, fresh and stylish look for their move online. Their new logo was the inspiration for the colour scheme and inset boxes depicting delicious ideas for cooking their products. The colour scheme of blue and green represents the outdoors/nature (sky and grass), to further emphasis the idea of “freshness”.

The Sydney Home Loan Centre

The Managing Director of the Centre approached me to redesign their existing site. He wanted something eye-popping, which had a smell of abundance and success, but was still informative and professional. The strong graphic of a champagne bottle spilling out gold dollar signs, set in an otherwise simple design, gave just the right balance of eye-catching and professional.

Benjibox

Benjibox is the brainchild of Penny, a mum who was wanting to start up an online to store selling a few “cool” products so she could stay at home with her young child. She already had a rough design drawn up, and needed me to implement her ideas and set up an ecommerce system for her. After looking at a number of shopping cart systems, we went with Cubecart for her store.

Website design only. Development by Speculate Design. Orbit UK commissioned the rebuild of Australian speculative fiction writer Marianne de Pierres’s website. The new design needed to fit with a new direction being taken with the book covers, and Marianne herself requested something “stylish, sexy, dangerous and elegant”.

Website design only. Development by Speculate Design. Author Kylie Chan wanted the design of her website to reflect the cover of her first book, “White Tiger”. The red white and blue/grey colour scheme of the book cover was matched with small image elements taken from the cover or similar stock photos. The result was a clean, simple website design which worked well on its own, as well as an accompaniment to her book.
